After heavy rain, the river near Sundarpur rose quickly.
After heavy rain, the river near Sundarpur rose quickly. A little kitten was stuck on a floating log. Ravi, a boy of ten, did not jump in; he knew it was dangerous. Instead, he ran to call the grown-ups, who threw a rope and pulled the log to the bank. The kitten was safe. "You did the right thing," the village headman told Ravi. Being brave means being wise too.
