The same water has been on Earth for billions of years.

The same water has been on Earth for billions of years. The Sun heats oceans and lakes, and the water rises as vapour. High in the sky it cools into clouds, falls as rain or snow, and flows back to rivers and the sea. This is called the water cycle. The water you drank today might have been drunk by a dinosaur long ago!
